I've got an issue.
Newly installed (yesterday) SuSE 9.2. Minimal graphical
install with a few extra packages (mainly kernel source
and gcc installed today).
I tried to configure the KDE desktops to show devices like
the CD ROM, the DVD burner, etc, using "Configure-Desktop"
and the "Device Icons" tab under "Behavior".
All went well until I hit "apply". I got an error message.
Every time I go into KDE I now get the same error message
on startup. The message is:
"Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'devices'."
That's it, including the problematic punctuation. I'm at a
loss here since the devices certainly exist and I can certainly
read them.
Any help would be appreciated. I *hate* recurring error messages...
