Grub has set your windows partition to (hd1,0), which is the second
hard disk, first partition. Is this correct? If so, it is unusual.
Windows doesn't play nice and usually needs to be on the first hd
installed unless Herculean efforts are made to allow it to do
otherwise.

Have you don't something you neglected to mention at the time of your
SuSE upgrade? Like install another hd, maybe?

It would also be unusual for SuSE to upgrade a working grub and break
the windows entry. On it's own this probably shouldn't happen (though
anything's possible). This is further evidence that some sort of
hardware change may be the cause.

Also, your kernel is on (hd0,1). Though not fatal, this is usually
(hd0,0). Another anomaly that makes me suspicious. What is on (hd0,0)?
(The first partition on the first drive?)

Please advise what hard disks and partitions are where and what recent
changes you may have made.
