Oh yes, sorry... I'm using SuSE 9.1 Pro on a dual proc machine.
The kernel is the latest from an apt-get: 2.6.5-??.111-smp?
(I don't have the machine in front of me.)

Ah... does this mean I need 12KSTACKS for the driver? I'm having
crash issues.

The FAQ says to turn it off, which is confusing because it
doesn't say what size stack to actually use... and how to
set it.
