I am trying to mount a file share on a Windows 2003 server.
If I use the command:
smbmount //server/share ~/mntufs -o username=domain\\user
on a RedHat Enterprise box it prompts me for the Active directory password
and mounts the share. If I run exactly the same command on a Suse 9.0 or 9.2
machine it prompts for the password but then I get an access denied message
from the server.
The versions of smbmount are:
RH 3.0.9-1.3E.2
Suse9.0 2.2.8a-SuSE
Suse9.2 3.0.9-2.3-SuSE
On all the machines smbmnt is setuid.
The mount still fails if I run as root on the SuSE boxes.
The mount works as the user OR root on the RH box.
Any advice or solutions would be much appreciated.
ROB
