Run Yast/Hardware/Graphics card and let it probe you setup. Make sure
the driver says (nvidia) not nv. Mine shows up as
Card: NVidia GeForce FX5200 (nvidia)

Also look in your Xorg.0.log and you should see something like:

(II) NVIDIA: driver for NVIDIA chipsets: RIVA 128, RIVA TNT, RIVA TNT2,
Unknown TNT2, Vanta, RIVA TNT2 Ultra, RIVA TNT2 Model 64,
        Aladdin TNT2, GeForce 256, GeForce DDR, Quadro, GeForce2 MX/MX 400,
        GeForce2 MX 100/200, GeForce2 Go, Quadro2 MXR/EX/Go,
        GeForce2 Integrated GPU, GeForce2 GTS, GeForce2 Ti, GeForce2 Ultra,

<snip>
        GeForce 6610 XL, 0x0146, 0x0147, 0x0148, 0x0149, 0x014B, 0x014C,

        0x014D, Quadro FX 540, 0x014F, 0x0160, 0x0166
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(--) Assigning device section with no busID to primary device
(--) Chipset GeForce FX 5200 found
(II) resource ranges after xf86ClaimFixedResources() call:

I did not find the actual version number in Xorg or dmesg or boot.msg.
Also see my emails in the group dated:

2005-0127 You downloaded my NVidea patch and YAST can't see my 3D
2005-0209 Does anyone have 3D acceleration under the new nVida drives
working?

PS: I never did get my 3D to work with either 6611 or 6629 patches.
Others were succesful
