I am a newbie switching to Linux. My primary concern is not learning it--I
know I can given time. But I am concerned about being hacked and have my box
owned while I do not know it. I am being a NAT dsl router at home. My pure
observations tell me that most Windows hacks are remotely exploitable, while
most Linux hacks are locally exploitable--which to me means you at least
have to have an account on the machine to try to exploit. I am sure it will
take me some time to be able to be able to tell if my box gets hacked. Since
I am the only one with an account on it---should I really be worried?
Thankyou for comments.
