I read Larry's comments on the printer sharing, I followed the
directions exactly but I am confused on the remote queue. I have the
same problem. I cant seem to get the remote queue.
My workgroup name is WORKGROUP on the XP Pro machine. I put in the
IP address in the Host name. I used the IP address which is
192.168.1.100. I put in the user name and password. I have tried
everythng in the remote queue and this is the error I receive:
You specified an invalid queue name on the printer serve, the printer
server does not accept print jobs, or the queue on the server does not
accept print jobs.
Retun from the remote server (paraphrase) The ping worked in .382 NS
Next I get the ping statistics, 1 sent one received one and none lost.
Lastly and I think most importantly:
Testing workgroup on workgroup 192.168.1.100: Tree connect failed:
NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME.
BTW the name of the printer is HP DeskJet 930C/932C/935C.
I tried \\xppro\HP DeskJet 930C/932C/935C and all the variations I could
think of and no good.
Can anyone make some suggestions?
Thanks
