Printer does not work.

anyone here who can help me?

I've a NEC Superscript 860, and want to use it.

Suse 9.1
CUPS Printsystem
Connection parallel.

If i print something, the print job is completed successfully, but
nothing is printed. In some configurations i got an "Back-channel read
error - Input/output error!".

BTW, my USB-Parallel-Adaptor ATEN UC-1248B is not recognized.
