SuSE 9.1Pro
Netgear WG311v2

OK, I think I nearly have this thing working.....but still a bit off.
Here is what I get from a few commands:

#ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
wg311v2 hardware present

Then I run modprobe ndiswrapper and get nothing back, but checking
messages:
ndiswrapper (NdisMAllocateSharedMemory:997): Failed to allocate DMA
coherent memory. Windows driver requested 409600 bytes of un-cached
memory
Feb 27 16:29:19 myhost kernel:
Feb 27 16:29:19 myhost kernel: ndiswrapper (ndis_init_one_pci:1458):
Windows driver couldn't initialize the device
Feb 27 16:29:19 myhost kernel: netwg311.sys: probe of 0000:00:0a.0
failed with error -22
Feb 27 16:29:19 myhost kernel: ndiswrapper: driver netwg311.sys
(NETGEAR, Inc.,06/17/2004,6.0.5.30) added

So it is recognizing the PCI card as a Netgear card, but it is having
trouble initializing. In /etc/ndiswrapper/wg311v2 I now find all the
goodies:
wg311v2.inf netwg311.sys
...and a few assorted other files.

So all seems good, but I am not getting a line:
wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

....as I hoped for in my messages, as in the install notes suggest at:
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/index.php/Installation

I can't bring the interface up. And I have previously brought down
eth0. So with ifup wlan0 I am getting:
ERROR: No configuration found for wlan0

I look futher back in my messages log and I see this text below. I am
not sure what to make of it, other than it doesn't look all that great.
Can someone suggest where I could turn to next? I've gone through
dozens of postings and install notes, but haven't come across this
particular situation. Thanks!

I see many people suggesting a move to 9.2 for a solution. I'll try
that as last resort, but hope to get my 9.1 install working instead.

Rob
