I would actually suggest he reinstall 9.1.
I have installed 9.2, and have had nothing but trouble with it.
I have repartitioned my hard drive, and cleaned it up so I can do a
fresh install of 9.1 now.
I am going back to 9.1 - that one at least worked.
9.2 has a lot of problems.
Maybe the 10.0 release will be better.
