... and in about 3 weeks, i'll be putting 2 gig more of RAM,
for a total of 4 gig :))

i went 64 bit because i could :) actually, i'm ready to
move up to 64 bit just because, for me, it's what i want
and need. not everyone will require it.

but back to what you said about posts out here. if you
notice the pre-configured machines from Monarch, they
come PRE-INSTALLED with Fedora 2, so a machine with the
same specs should not be an issue.

i ordered mine "piecemeal", with the exception of their
"combo package", which is just the combination of the
mobo/processor/RAM - they install the proc and RAM onto
the mobo, then "check" the system and upgrade the BIOS,
if required. they do this "no charge", whereas if you
buy a "custom sytem", they charge like $55-$60 bucks
for a build fee, which i could use for something else.

all i'll need to do is install the mobo combo, DVD writer,
hard drive, and PSunit. i'll need to go get a video
card as soon as i decide WHICH one i want. i'm not a
gamer at all, but my kids are :)

in about 2-3 weeks, i'll be adding the 2 gig RAM and
a water-cooled system, so i can eliminate the fans in
the system (ahhhhh, quietness), and another 300 gig
drive when the price drops some :)
