Heh, I've been using it "for serious work" since '94. For our client
server development here where I work (large county), VB6 is the language of
choice right now.
I'm trying to change all that, however.
I really like the model you see in the "C" languages such as
Java/C++/C#/Mono/PHP, and I'm pushing that we move in this direction.
However, I've got a major uphill battle ahead. (This doesn't even count
what I'll have to do to convince the 50+ COBOL guys/gals who are just now
learning VB.NET.)
As it is, I feel I scored a victory the other day. In pushing for a new web
server the choice was made (based on my recommendation) to go with
SLES/Apache/Tomcat instead of W2003/IIS. Woohoo!
I can see it now, "gee why can't we run these COM+ apps under Apache?"

To format a floppy, use "fdformat /dev/fd0"
