Hello everybody,
I'd like to setup an imap server for a small office LAN (7 clients: 4
win + 3 Linux). The server is running Suse 9.2 and I installed the imap
server which is on the original DVD. Following the imap readme file in
/usr/share/doc/packages/imap/README.SuSE i generated the self-signed
openssl cert that allow me to use the std user /etc/passwd.
Now, I'm able to access/read mail on the server via IMAP from the Linux
clients using KMAIL (access via TSL), but the windows clients using
thunderbird 1.02 cannot access to the same IMAP account (even if I
enabled SSL authentication) and I get an error message saying LOGIN
failed.
Is there a specific configuration that I have to do on the imap server
in order to allow authentication from a Mozilla Thunderbird client?
Do you have any suggestion for me to solve this issue?
Thanks a lot & regards,
Timur
