Hi Guys,
First thing first. If this is a wrong ng for this question, please accept my apologies. The
reason I post here is purely based on the fact that I use SUSE.

Now the question. I have been using linux for about 3-4 months now, which was basically a
training for, such that I have spend time to learn about installing/uninstalling packages, using
command prompt etc. etc. Recently I wanted to give linux a real test, like writing one of the
assignments using openoffice writer and printing it. No problem using openoffice. But the output
from the printer is pretty disappointing. I have a laser printer, HP LaserJet 6L. The output
from windows for text is amazing. But the output from linux for the same document looks, well to
be honest, hideous. It is smudgy, not as smooth as the output from windows applications. I was
wondering whether there is something that I am missing. Is this (smudgy output) normal? Or do I
need a special program for printing nice looking outputs?

Any advice is wellcome.

Thanks for your time and interest.

Once again sorry if this is not the right place for my questions.
