Hi:
I have a problem with my dispay settings. When configuring my dispay in
Yast, I choose my Video card and monitor from the lists and then configure
according to the OEM manual from my monitor yet my display is garbled. If I
use the VESA generic settings I get the same results. It seems no matter
what display settings I use, even if I go low res, low refresh rate and low
color I still get the same results.
When I try to run SaX2, my dispay is still garbled so it is useless.
Is there a way to reconfigure the dispaly from a command prompt? If so, what
commands do I use or can someone point me in the right direction to help on
the web?
My system configuration is as folows:
SUSE Linux 9.2 on:
ASUS A8V-E Deluxe MainBoard
AMD FX-55 with Giga-Byte Rocket Pro HeatSink/Fan
1 gb PC 3200 Micron Memory
TTGI Super Flower Modular Power Supply Plug-N 550W
ATI Radeon X600 all-In-Wonder with Remote
Plextor PX712A 12x DVD/RW
Liteon DVD/CD Drive
2 120 gb IDE hard drives (1 Seagate, 1 IBM/Hitachi)
Generic Floppy Drive
Creative Audigy 2 Internal
NEC FP-950 19" CRT Display
Logitech Wireless Keygoard
Logitech Wireless TrackBall
Any input is greatly appreciated.
