I also have KDE 3.4 running.
This morning SuSEwatcher turned red with an exclamation mark, so I did the
YOU update. A security update in the X-system.
At the end the SuSEconfig was invoked from YAST and kept hanging in the
config of tetex. I waited half an hour but nothing happened.
In the console I did "su" and "ps aux". There were 4 lines with tetex in it
and 3 processes invoked with "bash /sbin/config.d/SuSEconfig.tetex". I
killed these 3 processes and finally YAST finished and everything seems to
be OK.
I remembered there was a tetex update yesterday. So I decided to remove
tetex, ignoring dependancies, and to reinstall it without the update. The
problem remained; I had to kill again these three processes. After that I
reapplied the tetex update with YOU and again I had to kill these 3
processes.
I did this on my tower system and on my laptop and both had the same
problem.
The X-system update is there also for SuSE 9.2, but here the update was OK.
I wonder who has the same problem and who has a solution for it. I reported
the problem via Novell feedback.
