Some time ago I searched for and found, a UK supplier of a pcmcia
wireless card who actually *knew* what the card chipset was. This was
significant because although it is possible to use ndis wrapper
techniques on this sort of thing generally, I am new enough to the scene
that it was beyond me in the time available.
Suse 9.2 has several drivers easily installed via yast and online
updates, and I chose a prism chipset card. Very easy.
I did not have time to post about it until now, but this suplier was
great. I had previously drawn an inconvenient blank with dabs and high
street shops, even taking the laptop to actually find out what the
chipsets were(!)
