1. Linux is case sensitive
2. That should NOT be needed, unless the program is poorly written
3. Read the pages http://hugin.sourceforge.net/download/ and specially
the part where it says 'Linux' SUSE is RPM based.
4. First look it up on rpmseek.com and try the one you find there.
I also found that it is included in SUSE 9.2, so you can download it
from a mirror and it should work out of the box. Go to any mirror and
there to [Mirror][path]/suse/i386/9.2/suse/i586 and look for it. It is
now not included in 9.3 as far as I can see on
http://www.novell.com/products/linuxpackages/professional/diff_cd_dvd.html
Because of the things you are trying to do, I would say, stick to the
rpm's for now.
