If you just want to use your ISP's Mail server, it's very much like the
setup for Outlook.
Open up Kontact and select Mail or open up Kmail directly.
Select Settings/ Configure Kmail
If there is a default identity, Click on Modify..., if not just click on
Add...
Enter Your name and e-mail address into the appropriate fields in the dialog
box. You can add some other information here, but we'll leave this.
Click on OK to clear this.
In the configure dialog, click on the accounts Icon.
On the Receiving Tab, click on Add...
If you are using the home.nl mail server select the type as POP3.
Set the Account name to something like Home.nl Mail
Set the login to what ever your account name is.
You can put your account password here.
Set the host to mail.home.nl
If you want to have the program request your password when first connecting
to your mail server, clear the Store Pop password. Activate the Interval
checking option.
Now click on OK.
Click on the Sending tab.
Click on Add... Select SMTP.
Click on OK
Give the Account a name, something like Home.nl
Host is mail.home.nl
I don't know if you have to use authentication to send mails, as my Dutch is
non existant :) .
If not just klick on OK
Then click on OK for the larger Configure Kmail dialog box.

Kmail has now been set up.

Hope this helps.
