Ok, now I'm lost again. I thought the IP address that shows up when I do
"ipconfig" at the command prompt is the correct one to use.

How do you find out the IP for the cable modem?

The router I have is a Microsoft Model#: MN-500

I have opened port 80 on the M$ machine and can't figure out the router yet.

Getting closer set by step!

Thanks,
