jane:/home/suse/9.1 # rpm --version
RPM wersja 4.1.1

I was not sure if there are some general errors in YOU system, or installed
packets. gpg signatures seem to be both part of a rpm system and part of
YOU system. Am i wrong ?

yes it did !
but now i have the following situation:
jane:/usr/src # rpm -e --allmatches gpg-pubkey-9c800aca-39eef481
jane:/usr/src # rpm -qa gpg-pubkey*
jane:/usr/src #
jane:/usr/src # cd /home/suse/9.1 # ******* my original install source
jane:/home/suse/9.1 # ll gpg*
-rw-r--r-- 1 zbyszek users 1694 2004-04-07 15:17
gpg-pubkey-3d25d3d9-36e12d04.asc
-rw-r--r-- 1 zbyszek users 2295 2004-04-07 15:17
gpg-pubkey-9c800aca-39eef481.asc
jane:/home/suse/9.1 # rpm --import gpg-pubkey-9c800aca-39eef481.asc
jane:/home/suse/9.1 # rpm --import gpg-pubkey-3d25d3d9-36e12d04.asc
jane:/home/suse/9.1 # rpm -qa gpg-pubkey*
jane:/home/suse/9.1 #
rebuilddb won't help either before nor after --import
there are no signatures at all now !
in this state i succeded to update two of three packages with YOU,
the third one (the new kernel) still produces the same error:
ERROR(You:RPM has invalid signature.)
the error must be connected with this special package and possibly
http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2005/05/rdassen_rpm_lost_keys.html
is not the correct solution of it.
any ideas how to get the new SuSE kernel in ?
