Hi,
I've run Red Hat in the past, but it was several years ago. I've never
run SuSe, and I'd like to try it out.
I'm broke, so buying the boxed version isn't an option, and I'd prefer
to download it rather than buy a cheap CD from somewhere unless it's
vastly simpler that way. From what I remember, I had Red Hat 5.3 or so,
and I bought a CD from LinuxMall or some place for a couple of bucks.
My main questions are: am I correct in reading that you can make a basic
boot CD and then install everything else from an FTP site? Or do I need
to DL everything ahead of time? Which .ISO(s) do I need to DL? What is
recommended as the easiest, least time-consuming method? I'm not a
complete newbie, I'm just looking for some clarification/recommendations
on how to install SuSe.
Thanks,
J. W. McCall
