Well thats really not true exactly. I can get to prompt, but I'm a real
newbie and don't know where to go from there.
I have a suse 9.2 set up on an AtA drive and winxp on a Sata. I can't dual
boot from grub so I use the bios. My problem started when I tried to get
grub to do the dual booting job instead of the bios. After I downloaded
several of suse patches the hardware detection in yast told me that it had
detected my sata drive where as before it hadn't. That when I thought that
the booting from the bios days are over. I added the sata(sda) details to
the fstab and the told grub about the changes. Made directories in the
media folder for the win partitions and rebooted the machine. So here I am.
I be happy if some one could just tell me how to get back my Suse
knowledgeat I can maybe learn a little more about configuring files for
dual booting so that I can try again with the knowladge that if I screw up
I can help myself out because of the help of others
