Are you saying that those of us who got the install working but had the
problem occur because of the initial update may have not read the CDs
correctly.
I have had the problem with two different computers - the set to KDE
fixed the problem both times. One was done with update before initial
reboot and had the problem on reboot. The other was not updated until
after the first reboot and it worked well after reboot until I updated
it two days later.
At least part of the problem is in the update files!
