Do not forget that in Linux you will have multiple desktops anyway. So
if you don't need the data at that time you can just switch between
screens at the tough of a button

I had two CRT's and they just took up too much space.

For me the main point was 1600x1200 (x2) so only 20" LCD's were an
option. I have a Firefox open on each window, slrn, mutt and the like on
one side. The other has liferea, Azureus, MPlayer and that kind of
stuff.

Nice, but looks a bit disorted.

I cleaned it for the picture and I really really try to get rid of
things I do not use. I regurly look at things and if I do not used them
in say 6 months, they are trash. Yes, there are exceptions, like CD's,
books, DVD's.
This has kept my small studio clutterfree.

Should work without a hitch. What you do is see that you have a working
system, copy /etc/X11/XF86Config to /etc/X11/XF86Config.backup.
Next go to [CTRL][ALT][F2], log in as root and run sax2. That is the
same tool as I explained earlier.
Now when all goes well, you just do `init 5 && exit`. and you are done.
Now if you screw up, you just copy /etc/X11/XF86Config.backup to
/etc/X11/XF86Config (copy so the thing is still there) and start all
over till it works.
No idea how you have them connected, but what I would do is put the
screens in this order:
426
315
Or in Linux speach
315
204
That way the login to Linux will be on screen one.
I have all my main things in screen 1 and when I want to open something
in screen 0 I do that from screen one as well:
Instead of `firefox` I run `DISPLAY=:0.0 firefox`. Naturaly you can just
put this in the menu of KDE or any other WindowManager.
If your PC has enough power and you still need Windows for whatever
reasons, you can setup vmware and have one screen dedicated to Windows
(or any other OS you fancy)
