I have not had an error with downloads since I can not even remember
when. SLow? Perhaps, but have not had a disconnect in years. Even before
I had ADSL and was still on 28.8.

The you best put it in a goot place as well, like
/usr/src/packages/RPMS/[somewhere] and point YAST to that as well.

Then, if you do not have a scriot to do the instalation on all your
PC's, you do a ssh connection to the remote machine you want to install
it on and do `rpm -Uvh ftp://localserver/SUSERPM/dir/file.rpm`

If you have sevral machines, you could easily put together a script that
does this for you. You just make one file with all the machines in it
and do something like: for MACHINE in File; do INSTALL $MACHINE;done
where INSTALL is the script that does the installation of the software.

I think that YAST also has a remote configuration, but I am not sure
about that.
