screen saver freezes on 9.3

Hi all, I have suse 9.3 on my powerspec desktop, and I am getting about one
or two crashes per week, usually when I have left the computer alone for a
while. When I get back to my machine I see that either the screensaver has
frozen or or the monitor is giving an error that there is no signal. I
leave the computer on all the time and these happen about 10% of the times
when I get back to it. Moving the mouse and hitting the keyboard has no
effect; and alt-ctrl-delete or alt-ctrl-bkspace won't do a thing. The only
thing I can do is a hard restart. Any one else having this problem and any
idea what could be the cause?
