Any ideas on how to do this with a locked AMD 1700+ on an ASUS A7V8X? I've
tried several things and nothing seems to work for me. Still hangs on trying
to activate ieee1394.
I actually did disconnect the firewire at one point, this got me through that
part to say done, then it froze on me again. I've reconnected the firewire
since then.
I've heard a lot of good things about Suse, but if I can't get it installed,
looks like I'm moving on to a different distro.
Suggestions on either of the above? Looking for something relatively friendly
to get started with but not completely dumbed down.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
