After upgrading from 9.2 to 9.3 on my Gateway Celeron, I cannot hear any
sound.

The audio chip, an onboard Intel 82801 is recognized.

I have tried the KDE mixer and alsaconf.

I tried the the test sounds and real player streaming.

I added the Multimedia Packs, but neither mp3 nor ogg will produce sound.

There are no other noticeable errors: just no sound.
