Hi there,
I just installed suse 9.3 several times on a dell poweredge 800 server.
My first try was with cds, but after prompting that I am about to install 32 bit
software on a 64bit computer, I installed the 64bit version via ftp. After, or
sometimes during install the machine froze a couple of times. Tried it 3 times.
Then I went back to 32bit from cd. But after install the machine also freezes up
iregularily after syscommands are issued, or if I go into yast to configure the
networkkard (that was the most reason for freezing).
Any ideas how to fix that and get a stable system? Which one, 64bit, or 32bit?
Both seem not to work on that machine very stable:-(
Thanx for any hint,
Merlin
