Making DVD coasters burning ISOs with K3B

For some reason when I burn a DVD using, for example, the SUSE Eval DVD iso,
all I get is a coaster. I have tried several makes of DVD and get the same
result. This is on my laptop, I cannot try my desktop as I am on holiday. I
need to burn this iso and a couple of PS2 isos which are backups of games
that my kids have wrecked the original PS2 dvds. Anyone got a solution that
woud help as k3b don't seem to like dvd iso burning
