Haha, I forgot about this, but right when I installed 9.3 I tried out
AmaroK then discarded it as just too fucking unwieldy (I'm a confirmed
Beep-ist now). But it works for me. Under "engine" I have aKode engine
selected in the config tool; the other choice is arts. What do you have
selected?

Yeah, mine plays mp3s, but I just found out not .wavs! It's really
confusing, with no easy way to check plugins and stuff.....
