followup to modem problems

The redhat rpm from the USR site, LNUX_3ComMdm-1.0-1.i386.rpm, was
installed. It installed the following:
/bin/3ComMdn
/etc/rc.d/init.d/serial
The modem still is not detected during bootup or in yast setting up the
modem. Does any of these files need to be move to a different directory
for Suse 9.3?
Need to clarify a previous statement. The modem appears in yast/hardware
information under the PCI listing for the slot it is in. There is NO
separate modem listing.
