How can I send mail with different domains for the same user

Sometimes, I want to send mail from my system as
Robert@do-not-spam.me.uk sometimes as
Robert@please.do-not-spam.me.uk with the former as the Reply-To:
sometimes as Robert@plainfaqs.org and sometimes as
OneOffSpamTrapName@one-of-my-domains.xxx

I am currently using Sendmail version 8.12.10-136 on SuSE Linux 9.1
with KDE 3.2

I have tried reading up about usertable, virtusertable and
genericstable, but cannot see how to achieve my goal via any of
these three mechanisms.

At the moment, what ever From: line I put is rewritten to user@FQDN
unless I put an entry in FROM_HEADER in which case it becomes
user@$FROM_HEADER

Have I failed to understand something in the doc I have already
read?

I would love to RTFM, but don't know which FM to R

If I change from Sendmail to Postfix, is there an FM that I can R to
show me how to do this?

I am almost resigned to having to be different users to post with
different first parts (so when I want to be Harry, I would log on
as Harry), but I don't see how that would allow me to change the
domain for the same user (e.g. Robert@do-not-spam.me.uk and
Robert@plainfaqs.org) nor do I see how I can be
OneOffSPamTrapName@do-not-spam.me.uk without having to set up a
plethora of users or at least change a config file for each new
OneOffSpamTrapName

Am I asking for the impossible? I don't think so, since I can do
much of this via one of my providers' Web Mail facility (which runs
under Linux), but I want to do it from my Linux box.
