Thanks for helping a noob. I just cursed my last curse at Windoze and
installed SUSE 9.2 when I rebuilt this time. I'm trying to set up my
Minolta PagePro 1250W, so I go to http://localhost:631 and click on
Printers, then Add Printer. It asks for a username and password. I use
root for the username and my root password, but it just keeps asking for
the login info. So I logged out and logged back in using the root account
to make sure I'm not crazy and that I remember the password, it works
fine. So I try again, this time still logged in as root. Same problem. Do
I need to do some sort of configuration to CUPS before I can use the web
interface to add a printer?
