Printer control

I use OpenOffice.org for most of my work. Occasionally, I want to print
parts of a spread*** Landscape, and at times I want multiple copies of
a print job. In both cases, the printer control within OOo doesn't
work. I am told that the problem is with my printer set-up under SuSE
9.2. How do I fix the problem?
