Did the installation install GRUB or LILO as the boot manager? Did you use
something like Disk Manager or Partition Magic to set up the partitions?
They can add some weird configurations to the hard drive.
Did you remember to first preform a Scandisk and Defrag in Safe Mode of your
WinXP before installing SuSE?
