I am not the original author but I do understand the comment. MS SQL
does not require as much attention as MYSQL or any SQL running on
Linux. Many companies hire a "Computer Guy" to handle the day-to-day
operations (including patch management) with little to no expertise in
SQL. This guy would know how to backup, restore, and make sure the
SQL jobs run but beyond that, SQL is mainly hands-off. Making sure it
is patched is easy but it seems like many people don't feel it is
important (slammer is a good example of this). On Slammer, Microsoft
caught all kinds of hell over that and tehy had a freaken patch
available months before it hit! I blame the admins who dropped the
ball but in NG's like this, I see MS geting blamed. Quite crazy,
don't you think?

How people here complain that SQL crashes, is unstable, etc, is beyond
me. I think you would have to TRY and f**k something up in SQL to
actually f**k it up.

I can see you are more interested in belittling people than the facts
so I am not going to respond to any more of your name calling infested
postings, bitch!
