Hi,
I have installed Amaroka 1.3.1-9 under SuSE 9.3 and KDE 3.4.2
level "a". In general it works well, but it does not play CD's. There
is an "Action / Play CD audio" option, but it's inactive. Also,
draging cd audio icon from a desktop on amarok does not work - it
pretends to accept the icon, but in fact it displays only a question
mark in the playlist and does not play.
I tried to open an audio disk with a double click and to drag
pseudo-files (like .wav or .mp3 representing contents of the disk) to
amarok, but it did not work either. In amarok manual there is an
information, amarok requires audiocd:/ protocol. I entered audiocd:/
to konqueror and I saw the same, as with double clicking on cd audio
icon: dummy files and folders representing the disk contents. I also
tried to drag some pseudofiles onto the Desktop - and it worked well.
Does it mean, my system is audiocd:/ compatible? Both XMMS and kscd
did not have any issues with cd audio.
Does it need any additional module, or something? I have installed:
# (rpm -qa | grep amarok ; rpm -qa | grep kdemulti) | sort
amarok-1.3.1-9
amarok-helix-1.3.1-9
amarok-helix-backend-1.3.1-9
