Watching a SuSE install

While waiting for this last SuSE 9.3 install to finish (on an old, slow
machine), I had a peek around the virtual consoles that the install disc
leaves open. Two of them run bash, while the third one runs lsh. Does
anybody know what lsh is for?
It was interesting to see a process called "fvwm" running--does the
install screen really need a window manager?
