I dragged the install icon to the applications folder and it installed just like any and all other apps I've installed. ... So, having said all of that, I may have stubled on to something which allows it to shut down and restart but, again, it doesn't seem normal as I don't have to do this with any other program I've ever used on my Macs. ...
