Hmmm... I dont think you have the "real" DVD then. It sounds to me you
rather have a "assembled" DVD. Those DVD's are put together by using the
CD images and merge them to one DVD. Although this can work in most
situations, there are problems as you describe with some types of machines.
Just download the "original" DVD from a mirror as given on the Novell
website. There is absolutely no reason why you should use a unreliable
source like a binary newsgroup.
