It's not my fault if the file does not exist on your system - create it!
- nor is it my fault if your /slocate/ database has not been updated on
a regular basis.
The file does exist on my system, although I'm not using it. I'm
running a monolithically compiled vanilla kernel.
Despite your eloquent choice of vocabulary, I'd advise you to check the
documentation for your distribution. It is possible that SuSE places
its configuration files in a different location - I for one don't use
SuSE - and thus requires them to be in this location if they were to be
newly created.
I'd be surprised for the case of said file, but it's possible. On my
Mandrake system, it's */etc/modprobe.preload.*
So far for the advice. Yet it's the last piece of advice you'll ever
get from me. Your attitude warrants a place in my "Lamers" filter.
