I am somewhat new to Suse, but not extremely new to Linux in general. I
have used linux for a few years but whenever I encounter this problem, I
get by with a hardware swap and sometimes a reinstall, but here is the
question:

If I set up Suse on a certain box with a certain monitor "Monitor A", and
move the box to a different location without the monitor and use a new
monitor "Monitor B", unless the monitor is exactly the same, I can't get
Suse to display the GUI. I can Ctrl-Alt-F1 and get logged in but where do
I go to tell Suse about the different monitor or resolution? When I move
the machine, I make sure I take "Monitor A" with me knowing there may be a
problem otherwise. I have googled but I guess I am not typing in the right
question.

TIA
