I can't help you with Kontact (I'm sure someone else will come along),
but I can tell you that I was unhappy with the Bogofilter/Kmail combo
in SuSE 9.3. I switched over to a combination of SpamAssassin on my
email server (not my own machine - I use my web host's server) and the
Junk Mail filter in Thunderbird. I find that T-bird works very well and
perhaps you might want to try that on your salesman's machine.
You don't have to use Kontact if you just want to use components. For
instance, I like KOrganizer for my calendar.
