Since you seem to have installed the proper parts, check what libraries are
necessary to load the Qt driver:

        ldd libqsqlmysql.so

in /usr/lib/qt3/plugins/sqldrivers. If it says 'missing', make sure you
install the missing part. Don't bother removing any qt3 plugins for other
databases.
