Odds are the local filesystem underneath those Linux shared out areas
via Samba are not NTFS, but rather some fuller supported local
filesystem type like ext3 or reiserfs.
Writing to NTFS requires extra work on SUSE and even then, the project
that allowed for write support is not maintained (?? I think) anymore.
That project used a bit of Windows <cough> files to make things work.
Probably didn't work with 64bit Linux anyhow.
