Hm, I remember seeing that in Windows but can't recall if I've ever
seen that in SUSE -- although I don't often use the 'Hardware' section
of YaST Control Center for the CDROM drives. If it was me, and I'm
known to take chances I probably shouldn't, I'd just delete all four in
YaST and then restart KDE to see if there was any difference. I don't
know where YaST looks for it's hardware info, might not even have
to restart KDE . . .

I seldom buy the super cheap disks, or even the really cheap disks,
having learned my lesson years ago on floppies. I keep CD and DVD
re-writables around for testing and temporary backups and such and a
fairly good quality of CDs/DVDs for when I want more permanent storage.

Every little bit helps, and makes the next problem area a bit easier to
solve. You will learn more from fixing problems -- which is why I don't
usually worry about trying something that might break the system; it's
just one more chance to learn something more . . . :-)
