Re: Where are the SuSE 9.2 Professional CD ISOs?

We are giving a solution. Pity you do not like it.

I ask for 9.2 ISOs 4 and 5. You suggest that I download 10.0 ISOs (which I've already done) but that does not restore my 9.2 CDs 4 and 5.

I am not interested in upgrading to 10.0 at all. I have avoided "upgrading" to all ".0" versions of Linux since Red Hat 6.0 in February 2000. I much prefer the .2's and .3's because they usually work better.

This is all irrelevant, however, to getting my 9.2 CDs 4 and 5 restored.

Do the ISOs for CDs 4 and 5 of SuSE 9.2 Professional just not exist anywhere on the web anymore?

Weird.

Can anybody send backups of theirs to me via snail mail?
Yes.

Great! Let's start there. *THEN* I can get up to speed with BitTorrent and think about upgrading to 10.[123] (but not 10.0 unless I absolutely have to).

OK. All in due time. Right now, I'm looking for a couple of CD ISOs.

Why? So you have the shiny disks in you rack?

Because I'm due to install 9.2 on someone else's PC in about 3 weeks and I currently only have 3 of the 5 discs I used to have to do that.

I was *trying* make backups of my 5 disc set last night when I discovered that discs 4 and 5 were damaged to the point that K3B will not copy them completely.

Here we are looking for technical solutions to technical problems.
> You have a logistical problem.

I have come to the SuSE newsgroup looking for replacements of my SuSE 9.2 Professional CDs Nos. 4 and 5 - hopefully via ISO download but snail mail will work if that's a path of least resistance.

Meanwhile, I need the two CD ISOs so that I can restore the damaged discs in my collection.

Again why? Why do you need them?

Because I had all 5 discs and 2 of them are bad.
