Hi houghi,

I must admit I don't really understand what you are saying here, what
confuses me is:

1) I have only installed the usual packages and applications from the boxed
DVD. I not installed anything else, I would have thought this should be
self consistant and compatible with YOU?
2) This appears to be an incremental upgrade to 1.4 so why should it affect
java 1.5? Do you reccomend all users to install 1.5 and remove 1.4?
3) I have not yet installed java 1.5 (although I do intend to). Since its
included on the retail DVD whats the advantage to me of the Additional YaST
Package?
4) I understand some software requires java 1.4 due to bugs (I seem to
remember that there is a note about Eclipse in the installation notes?)
also are you sure that Open Office works OK with Java 1.5?
5) I seem to remember that Java 1.5 comes in both 64bit and 32bit versions,
do the bugs in the release notes affect only the 64bit version?
